Call to Worship (Psalm 138)
One: I bow down and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and faithfulness.
All: On the day I called, you answered me, you increased my strength of soul.
One: Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you stretch out your hand and deliver me.
All: Your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.
One: Let us worship God.
Hymn # 500 “Open my eyes, that I may see”
Prayer of Approach
Responsive Reading in Unison: The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Maker of heaven and earth;
I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord.
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried.
He descended into hell.
The third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
From thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit; the holy catholic church; the communion of the saints;
The forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen
