Mission Statement
The MOVE Committee is committed to building a compassionate, connected, and spiritually grounded church community. We support individuals and families during times of personal or collective need, partnering with local churches, service organizations, and community agencies to strengthen and advocate for their essential work.
We offer pastoral care through visits to homes, hospitals, and long‑term care facilities, providing comfort, encouragement, and spiritual support. We also guide and support the Christian Education ministries of the congregation, nurturing learning, growth, and discipleship for all ages.
Our Ministries & Programs
Breakfast Bags for the Food Bank
Roger and Bonnie Burke faithfully prepare and deliver thirty Breakfast Bags multiple times each month to the Brockville and Area Food Bank. These bags primarily support single unhoused individuals in the community. What began as a once‑monthly initiative has expanded significantly due to increased need and the generous support of the congregation and the Presbytery of Seaway‑Glengarry.

The next Big Give will take place on June 6, 2026.

Loaves & Fishes
First Presbyterian Church supports Loaves & Fishes, a local non‑profit restaurant serving meals Monday–Friday. Volunteers assist with food preparation, and the congregation regularly donates coffee, tea, bite‑size pasta, cake mixes, and monetary gifts.

Pastoral Visits & Worship in Long‑Term Care
