First Presbyterian Church, in partnership with First Baptist and St. Paul’s Anglican Churches, provides hearty meals on the 4th Sunday of each month. The Sunday Supper program was started in Brockville to provide meals for hungry, homeless, and isolated people who otherwise depend on the local Loaves & Fishes restaurant for meals on weekdays. The remaining Sundays are covered by other community churches. There is no charge for these meals, but donations are welcome.
The meal preparation team (which rotates between First Presbyterian, First Baptist, and St. Paul’s) prepares the meals monthly, which are supplemented with bread or rolls, dessert and beverages and are distributed at First Presbyterian Church. Any extra meals are delivered to shut-ins and the Cooperative Care Centre. We are grateful to all who donate food, prepare and distributed the meals, and clean up afterwards. Meals are served in the church hall as well as available for takeout.
