Annual Kirkwall Strawberry Social Wednesday June 24th, serving from 5-7 p.m. This is a free will offering event. Come and enjoy BBQ Octoberfest sausages and hotdogs, salads and veggies, and delicious Strawberry Shortcake with strawberries from Marcy’s Berries.
A highlight of this event will be Norm Hughes and the musicians from the Men’s Breakfast giving us a rousing concert of gospel music. Bring your lawn chairs to enjoy the meal and concert! In case of rain, the concert will be held in the sanctuary.
Youth Group – The Youth in the community are invited to a time of fun and fellowship for teens aged 13-18 on Friday July 17th. Come from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. for games, snacks, a bonfire, worship and a devotional time.

Bodies in Motion Classes – Annalise Clarkson will be leading movement classes on June 25th, July 30th, and August 27th , beginning at 7 p.m. You will learn to connect with your body through gentle movement and breath, focusing on presence, balance, body awareness and posture while improving strength, alignment and mobility.
Annual Kirkwall Corn Roast is planned for Sunday August 9th following our worship service. Enjoy hotdogs with all the fixin’s, corn on the cob dripping with butter, and ice cream treats for dessert. All proceeds from this event will go to Canada Foodgrains Bank.
Vacation Bible School – we are planning to host a Vacation Bible School this summer, August 17-21, at Valens Community Centre. This will be from 9-11:30 a.m. for children ages 4-12, with a presentation by the children on the Friday evening for the parents and grandparents to attend. We will need volunteers for the week to help with music, crafts, games and snacks, and others to be hands-on helpers. If you can help on some or all of the days, please see the sign up sheet by the kitchen.
