Annual Kirkwall Corn Roast is planned for Sunday August 23rd following our worship service. Enjoy hotdogs with all the fixin’s, corn on the cob dripping with butter, and ice cream treats for dessert. All proceeds from this event will go to Canada Foodgrains Bank.
Vacation Bible School – we are planning to host a Vacation Bible School this summer, August 17-21, at Valens Community Centre. This will be from 9-11:30 a.m. for children ages 4-12, with a presentation by the children on the Friday evening for the parents and grandparents to attend. We will need volunteers for the week to help with music, crafts, games and snacks, and others to be hands-on helpers. If you can help on some or all of the days, please see the sign up sheet by the kitchen.
Bodies in Motion Classes – Annalise Clarkson will be leading movement class on August 27th , beginning at 7 p.m. You will learn to connect with your body through gentle movement and breath, focusing on presence, balance, body awareness and posture while improving strength, alignment and mobility.
