About Us

Greetings to you from Kirkwall Presbyterian Church.  We sincerely encourage you to join us for weekly worship at 10 -11:30 a.m. in the sanctuary on Sunday mornings. Keith Marcy is our supply minister and we warmly welcome him as he leads our weekly worship with a Biblical Christian message.

The congregation has a long history of devoted service to Christ beginning in 1833 with the Scottish immigrants who settled this area.
The lower portion of the church building was built in 1848 and in 1900 the walls were built upwards to provide a second story.  The church is filled with history of faithful Presbyterians who served Christ in this congregation.

Today, some members still come from the local area but others come from Cambridge, Kitchener, and Hamilton.

The congregation is proud of its choir which sings traditional church choral music.  As part of our 175th Anniversary celebrations in 2008, the choir recorded a CD of their music.

The church has many social events usually associated with meals.  These include a Men’s Breakfast, Women’s Tea Luncheon, Chili Luncheon, Strawberry Social, Tractor Breakfast, Corn Roast, and more.  Many of these events raise money for the church and for our mission projects.

Also popular are our Games Nights and Movie Nights as well as outings to special events.

The WMS group, the Elsie Henderson Evening Auxiliary, has about 25 members and is very active in raising awareness of important missions as well as raising funds to support them.

The church also owns and operates a cemetery located beside the church. We regularly get visitors seeking information about their ancestors from this area.  Our history book of the congregation and its families is very helpful in this regard.

  1. Hello Rev. Bereczki-Farkas,

My name is Bob MacLean and I am a Cape Breton musician that plays extensively for Scottish/CDN events. I am looking for opportunities to play for Robbie Burn dinners in 2018.
I am a full time musician and perform about 250 shows/year at Seniors locations, pubs, museums, wedding, festivals, restaurants and corporate events. I would enjoy discussing the possibility of playing at an upcoming Burns dinner.

I look forward to hearing back.

    Cheers and slainte,

    Bob MacLean

  2. We did not have our Robbie Burns night this past year unfortunately, however I will bring your name forward to our Session in the event we do host it this year or perhaps they may be looking for someone/something for our Scotch supper in the fall.

    Thank your for your email.
