Knox Presbyterian Church History:

In 2018 Knox will be celebrating 140 years of ministry in Komoka.

No church structure existed in the earliest times, but rather meetings were held in the old school house. Then in 1871 the Komoka congregation became connected with North and South Delaware and the first minister from Scotland was called. In 1878 the Komoka congregation united with Hyde Park. At that time it was decided the Komoka congregation needed a proper place in which to worship and plans were made to erect a church building. The opening service was held September 8th, 1878.

In 1921 the old relationship with Hyde Park was dissolved and Komoka was then united with North Caradoc and Mt. Brydges.

An addition was put on the church in 1958 which included a new hall, classrooms, Kitchen and washrooms.

Knox, Komoka remains to be a two point charge with North Caradoc-St. Andrew’s.
