Book Club… meets at Knox on Saturday, August 13 at 1pm to discuss Ragged Company by Richard Wagamese and Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate. Hope to see you there!
Mail sent to Helen Neufeld may have been returned to you in recent months. There was a mix-up regarding mail at her new home in Edmonton which has now been resolved. The address in our directory is correct so please continue to connect with Helen.
Photo Directory… Our photo wall in the hallway needs updating! If your photo is not posted or if it is not up to date, please send us a landscape picture of yourself – digital or hard copy. One person per photo please. We will prepare name labels. I know you know someone with a cell phone – so get them to take your picture and send it to Laura!
Journey for Hope!… On October 1, PWS&D is encouraging supporters to walk, run, ride or do another activity they love to raise money for the vital work we do around the world.
Currently, the world is experiencing a food crisis triggered by climate change, the COVID-19 pandemic and conflicts such as the one in Ukraine—and it’s only getting worse. This year, funds raised will support PWS&D food security projects around the world. For six years, PWS&D supporters have laced up their shoes to get moving and support the work of PWS&D. Previously, this was organized as Ride for Refuge.
Our local team is Together in Motion. To join the ride – contact Laura Kavanagh ([email protected]), to join the walk – contact Ruth McCowan ([email protected]), to contribute go to this link (or speak to Ruth or Laura) WeRespond.ca/support-together-in-motion
Inclusive Christians – Around the Table… begins again in the fall. If you would like to help prepare a meal, please contact Laura. Her dates are Sept. 28, Oct. 12, and Nov. 30.

Mission Moment – August 14, 2022
The Raw Carrot Soup Enterprise is a growing social enterprise that is doing so much more than making soup—it is changing lives by employing individuals living with disabilities and mental illness. Meagan is one of the many people who have found meaningful employment at the Raw Carrot. Her work has helped her to gain confidence and skills and to feel proud of who she is and what she can contribute. Meagan is a huge Raw Carrot fan, as she put it, “The world should have more Raw Carrots, not just because they have good soup, but because it’s a good place to work.” With support from Presbyterians Sharing, the Raw Carrot is transforming lives.
Daily Prayers
