Wear your Canadian colours! Enjoy a musical celebration of patriotism on Saturday, November 21st at Knox Stratford/ Copperlight as we celebrate the “Last Night of the Proms: Canadian Style”. Join us for a special evening of world-class music in support of the Cancer Care Wig Room and Community Outreach programs for the unhoused. Doors open at 6:45.
The evening will feature honoured guest, Loreena McKennitt, who loves to perform in her home church concert hall. This is a rare opportunity to experience the signature, original style of the music that has given her global recognition.
Joining the lineup are the Full House Brass, a premier ensemble of professional players from Stratford and K-W. Five versatile and creative brass players: two trumpets, one French horn, and two trombones blend the bright high notes with a warm, golden middle and deep foundational support.
Our historic Casavant Frères pipe organ that saturates the sanctuary with music each Sunday morning, will go out for some Saturday night shenanigans, with organist Angus Sinclair. Listen with joy and frivolity to the Monty Python Theme from Spamalot along with perennial favorites, “The Maple Leaf Forever”, “The Land of Hope and Glory”. & “O Canada” as you have never heard it before.
