It is with sadness we share that our dear friend and long-time church member Carmen Brown died on June 1 at the age of 94. We are thankful for Carmen’s life, her powerful gift of prayer, and remember her peaceful, loving spirit. Please keep the Brown family in your prayers during this time of loss. Visitation will be held on Friday June 19 from 5-8 pm and Saturday June 20 from 10-11 am; a celebration of life service will take place on Saturday, June 20 at 11 am, all at McDougall and Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Road, Scarborough. A livestream link will be available for those unable to attend. https://www.arbormemorial.ca/en/mcdbrown-scarborough/obituaries/carmen-esmen-brown/161509.html
With the success of our new screens, there are fewer people using paper bulletins. So we are trying something new! When you enter you will be given a sheet with announcements and other important info to take home, instead of a bulletin. Large-print paper bulletins are available from the ushers upon request.
Sunday, June 14 we will be collecting nonperishable food for the St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church food bank.
We greatly look forward to our Annual Church Picnic which will be on Sunday, June 28 following the service. There will be a sign-up sheet available to indicate those who will be attending. The Picnic cost is $5 and monetary donations are accepted. Please see Dionne for further information.
If you have moved or changed your phone number or e-mail address, please make sure to share your new information with your elder, Megan, or Rev. Paul. We want to be sure everyone receives important congregational information and updates!

So often we know each other by face but not by name. Let’s change that! You’re encouraged to fill out a name tag and wear it here at church (name tags and lanyards are available in the main lobby.) When you leave you can place your name tag in the box in the lobby so it will be ready here for you next time you’re at church.
