Applications for funding from the Synod Mission Fund may be submitted by Presbyterians within the Synod of Saskatchewan, on behalf of a ministry within the Synod.Projects may be considered that:

- Provide opportunities to grow and develop disciples of Jesus Christ
- Tend and care for creation; be good stewards of the earth and live in harmony with creation
- Engage in relationships with different cultures, identities and ecumenical ministries
- Journey with Indigenous people on healing and reconciliation
- Support initiatives of agencies of The Presbyterian Church in Canada
- Advocate for justice and reconciliation
Projects will not be considered that are:

- Major capital expenditures
- Endowments, scholarships, or tuition
- Projects where the Mission Fund would be the principal source of support
- Grants to individuals, units of government or government agencies
- Partisan political support
- Projects that fall outside Presbyterian ethical and religious practices
- Loans
- Operational emergency funds
The Synod Mission Fund is composed of two parts – $50,000 (2024) of the Synod Mission Fund is set aside as an “endowment” which may only be used to generate income and an income fund which may be used to approve grants. |
