Knox Kincardine – A Community Music Center

Here at Knox Kincardine you can experience almost everything musical- from our church choir singing hymns, Community Singers concerts, talented local groups, featured Musical artists, Summer Music Festival sessions, Men’s Choirs, Orchestras and even Bagpipes!

Knox Church Kincardine is blessed to have a reputation for being one of the finest acoustic venues in the area. And, yes, we have a Grand piano as well as a digital organ. It is the place to come for music enhancement in worship.

Music Team Leader – Andy Fraser

Andy is a retired elementary school teacher, having taught music in Toronto, Huron County and London for 31 years. Andy has taught music from Kindergarten to Grade 8 including vocal and instrumental, both band and string. His many accomplishments include Grade 8 Conservatory Level in piano, voice and flute. He has mastered learning the digital organ and greatly enhances our weekly Worship Services with thoughtful and uplifting musical selections. On Saturday evenings during the summer he dons his kilt and plays the pipes with the Kincardine Scottish Pipe band.

Youth Choir Director – Judy Watt

Judy Watt is our youth choir director. While spending 25 years working in the Peel District School Board, she enjoyed teaching music to primary and junior grades. The children loved learning through singing, chanting, dance, movement, drama, and the playing of tuned percussion instruments, like xylophones, metallophones, glockenspiels as well as untuned instruments like triangle, bells, castanets and tone blocks. Judy also studied piano with the Western Ontario Conservatory of Music and is qualified at a Grade 8 Level Piano and Level 3 in History and Theory.

Choir Members

Knox is blessed to have a wonderful choir of talented singers who willingly share their gifts during our weekly Worship Services. Many of our choir members also sing in other local community choirs as well and will often sing solos or duets during performances. Our motto -the more the merrier! Newcomers are always welcome!
