Minister of Word, Sacrament and Pastoral Care: Rev. Michelle Brotherton

Rev. Michelle describes herself as “a lifelong person of faith having grown up in the church.  As a young adult I struggled as many do with the teachings of the church.  Through my personal struggle with mental health issues in my late teens and adulthood I have come to a very different place about faith and my spiritual journey.  Questions are real!  Struggle is real!  But there is a Spirit that is far bigger than I.  There is a Spirit that is Life, Love, Transformation and Community known in the person of Jesus Christ.  Christ lived, loved, struggled, offered healing to those marginalized by society.  In him I find one who leads us to living lives that are rooted in the Divine (God).  I seek to embody Christ in my valuing of all of Creation, including humanity.  I seek to be a safe person for all people in our glorious diversity. ”
