Service Info for April 17, 2022

Dear Friends,

Happy Easter! This Sunday, we will conclude our sermon series “God’s Dream for Your Life” with the final stage of faith called “From Dead-End to Deliverance.” Has any of us and/or our loved one ever gone through a nowhere turn situation? I believe that many of us have encountered those stumbling obstacles in our faith journey. While worshipping God with all our hearts on Easter Sunday, we can express our sincere gratitude to the Lord who has saved our loved ones and us from difficulties. We can perceive what God is doing for our loved ones and us today. Furthermore, by faith and in prayer, we can expect something great from the Lord our Saviour and attempt something great to the Lord our Deliver in the coming days.

On top of the Easter sermon described above, we will have special music brought to us by Reid Torrey, Piper. We will also have two video presentations. The first one called “Ukraine Easter Eggs” was done by the late Anne Fernley. On Easter Sunday, either in 2009 or 2010, she shared a wonderful story on that topic. During this Easter celebration, our prayers and thoughts go to those affected by the terrible Russians’ invasions of Ukraine. May God’s Everlasting Eternal Word be upon the Ukraine people! Христос воскрес! – Christ has risen! The second one is about Luke’s account of the Resurrection of Jesus.

With this note, this Easter Sunday, I want to invite you to explore the vision of God who raised His Only Son, Jesus Christ, from the dead. As usual, the worship will begin at 10:00 a.m., on Sunday, April 17, 2022, via Zoom. The Zoom link will open at 9:45 a.m., and the announcement slides will be played before the service. A copy of the service info, including the sermon, is attached.

I am taking my holiday from April 27 to June 1, 2022. My wife and I plan to take my mom back to her home during that time. We would appreciate your prayers for our safe trip. During my absence, Rev. Bob Quick will be covering pastoral emergency care. You can get his contact info from your elders.

Below are the Sunday Worship Leaders:
May 1: Dan Schley
May 8: Mark Mitchell
May 15: Rev. Barney Grace
May 22: Ray Coker
May 29: Rev. Henry Huberts

The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, 24 but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification (Romans 4:23-25).

Blessings,

Caleb
