Joyful Sounds Spring Concert

On Wednesday, the Joyful Sounds Tone Chimes Ensemble held a spring concert here at St. James.  Fourteen individuals formed the ensemble and there were 57 people in attendance.  Our thanks is extended to the Ensemble for their beautiful and uplifting music and delightful time of fellowship and lunch that fellowed.  We also extend our appreciation to Arlene Pineo for her leadership.

Joyful Sounds Tone Chimes Ensemble was formed in 2018 with funding from the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program.   This funding enabled seniors to come together in community, develop friendships, learn a new instrument and many new songs, and try new experiences.  One year they even performed in the music festival.  This year’s funding from the New Horizons for Seniors Program supported yesterday’s spring concert and will enable the purchasing of new music resources for future gatherings and concerts.

If you missed the concert, we streamed it on YouTube and Facebook.

A freewill donation was accepted at the concert, raising $590 towards the purchase of a replacement AED/defibrillator.

Blessings,

Rev. Wendy
