Church News and Service Information for February 25, 2024

Dear Friends,

I am delighted to extend an invitation to you and your loved ones to join our hybrid worship service at St. Andrew’s Fenelon Falls on the second Sunday in Lent, starting at 10:00 a.m. This Sunday, we will continue to study the second part subtitled “How to Excel in My Education” of this year’s first sermon series titled “Unshakable,” based on the book of Daniel. During Children’s Time, we will present “The Importance of the Word of God” to both the young and the young at heart.

This divine gathering will be accessible for both in-person and online live-streaming. The Zoom link below will be active from 9:45 a.m. Announcement slides will be shared before the service with both the congregation in the sanctuary and those joining us on Zoom.

In addition to this service information, I want to share a couple of announcements. Firstly, in the ongoing fundraising project called “Shopping Card,” orders will be collected this Sunday. We appreciate those who have participated in this project. Please reach out to Donna Schley, the coordinator, if you have any questions. Secondly, donations to the local Salvation Army will be collected on Sunday, March 3, 2024, and all contributions are greatly valuable. Thirdly, the World Day of Prayer Service organized by FFAC will be held at the Salvation Army Citadel on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Everybody is welcome. Fourthly, Holy Communion will be celebrated on Sunday, March 3, 2024. Prepacked communion elements will be used for those who join the in-person gathering, and those who wish to participate in the Lord’s Supper via Zoom need to be prepared with their own elements.

Please keep in mind the Annual Meeting, which will be held right after next Sunday’s service. Your prayer for this critical congregational gathering and your presence, either in person or via Zoom, will be greatly appreciated.
