Service Information for June 2, 2024

Dear Friends,

Let’s begin by exploring the definition of Holy Communion as outlined in the Westminster Larger Catechism:

Question 168: What is the Lord’s Supper?
Answer: The Lord’s Supper is a sacrament of the New Testament, wherein, by giving and receiving bread and wine according to the appointment of Jesus Christ, his death is showed forth; and they that worthily communicate feed upon his body and blood, to their spiritual nourishment and growth in grace; have their union and communion with him confirmed; testify and renew their thankfulness, and engagement to God, and their mutual love and fellowship each with other, as members of the same mystical body.

As announced before, this Sunday, we will observe Holy Communion/The Lord’s Supper taking place at 10:00 a.m. in the church sanctuary or via Zoom. A pre-packed sacred element will be blessed by the church elders prior to the service during the session meeting and will be distributed to participants in an in-person gathering. For those anticipating participating in this communion service virtually, please prepare your own elements: grape juice/wine and bread. Please keep in mind that Holy Communion is a sacred remembrance of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done for us on the cross.

You and your loved ones, including children, are all invited to the Lord’s Table!

During our worship, we will also explore Christ’s Agape Love reflecting the three C letters, Covenant, Commitment, and Communion, and apply this heavenly love to our faith journey.

Our sacred assembly will commence at 10:00 a.m., both in-person and online live-streaming, and conclude around 11:00 a.m. The Zoom link provided below will be active 15 minutes prior to the service. Announcement slides will be shared before the service with both the congregation in the sanctuary and those joining us on Zoom.
