Church News and Service Information for January 21, 2024

Dear Friends,

I am pleased to extend an invitation to you and your loved ones for our hybrid worship service at St. Andrew’s Fenelon Falls, on the 3rd Sunday after Epiphany, starting at 10:00 a.m. This Sunday, we will feature an individual sermon titled “New Wine Must Be Poured into New Wineskins!” as we embark on the bright year of 2024. We will also explore God’s patient work for us in transforming us into new wineskins or new creatures during the children’s time and video corner.

This divine gathering will be accessible for both in person and online live-streaming. The Zoom link below will be active from 9:45 a.m. Announcement slides will be shared before the service with both the congregation in the sanctuary and those joining us on Zoom.

Church News and Announcements:

In the spirit of Christian Unity, all the churches in Fenelon Falls will participate in a scripture reader exchange this Sunday. We extend a warm welcome to Michael McKenna from Immanuel Baptist Church, who will be reading the Bible in our service. Additionally, our representative, Arlene Ten Hove, will visit Shiloh Church to read the scripture at their service. We appreciate the assistance of both Michael and Arlene in making this exchange possible.

The Lent Bible Study on DVD, titled “Unshakable” and instructed by Rick Warren, will take place on eight Wednesdays, starting on February 7 and concluding on March 27, 2024. The session will run from 10:00 a.m. to 11:10 a.m. via Zoom. This topic will also be preached from the pulpit during the Lent season. Ten copies of the study guide, generously provided by an anonymous contributor, will be available for your participation or self-observation. They will be placed on the desk at the back of the sanctuary after the January 28th service.

“And no one pours new wine into old wineskins… No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins” (Luke 5:37-38).

Blessings,

Caleb
