Dear Friends,
I would like to begin with an update on our church’s “Recipe Revival” article for the City of Kawartha Lakes. Over the past few months, Margaret Bewer has taken the lead in coordinating and preparing this report, highlighting Glenarm church’s treasured recipes, with the support of the St. Andrew’s Women of the Church. Last Sunday, Margaret shared with the congregation the rich stories behind beloved salads, pies, and pancakes–dishes that have been enjoyed by many of our friends both within our community and beyond.
These memorable stories serve as a beautiful reminder of our spiritual heritage and traditions as we look forward to thanking God on our upcoming anniversary Sunday. The report, along with the recipes, is attached for your interest. I will let you know once the link to these recipe stories is updated on our city’s website.
With this note, you are warmly invited to join us for our hybrid service at St. Andrew’s, Fenelon Falls, on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
In this service, we will continue our series, “Developing a Faith That Works,” with Part Eleven: “How to Quit Playing God,” primarily based on James 4:12-13. We will also view a video clip from the Sermon on the Mount related to this Sunday’s message topic of judging others.
We hope you’ll be able to join us–whether in person or online–for a time of worship, learning and fellowship in the Lord this Sunday and/or on future Sundays.
Blessings,
Caleb
