Church News and Service Information for December 24th, 2025-Christmas Eve

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the St. Andrew’s Session, I extend Merry Christmas and happy holiday wishes to you and your loved ones. As we approach this sacred time, we are invited to celebrate the birth of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. Although it is His birthday, Jesus offers us the extraordinary gift of Himself. During this season–especially, at the Christmas Eve service–we are encouraged to reflect on our Heavenly Father’s greatest present–His one and only Son, Jesus–for each of us, and to receive this gift gratefully.

On behalf of the St. Andrew’s Session, I would also like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to all our church members and friends. Your continued faithful support and fervent prayers for God’s ministry within our faith community and beyond have been precious this year and always. We deeply appreciate your contributions to the Lord’s work–whether seen or behind the scenes, recognized or unnoticed, great or small.

We believe that Jesus, our Immanuel, has delighted in us as a church family working together to fulfill our mission: “To communicate faith, hope, and love by supporting and serving our congregation and the local community.” The Lord has also been pleased with our commitment to “welcome everyone to our church who seeks to love God and participate in an open and supportive congregation grounded in the teachings of Jesus Christ.”

With this spirit of Christmas gratitude and our church’s shared calling, I warmly invite you and your loved ones to our Christmas Eve Communion and Candlelight Service on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. We also look forward to our first Sunday worship after Christmas on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Both services will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Fenelon Falls, and will also be available via Zoom.

Please note that Christmas Eve offerings will be designated to The Salvation Army Food Bank unless otherwise specified. For those joining us online for the Christmas Eve service, we kindly ask that you prepare elements for communion (something to eat and drink) if you wish to participate.

Important Update: Starting this Sunday and continuing through the winter, our worship space will move from the sanctuary to the basement. Zoom participation will be available as usual.

Finally, as we observe this holy season, let us once again remember the words of God’s angel: “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger” (Luke 2:10-12). I pray that this Good News of great joy will be upon you and your loved ones anew–not only at Christmas, but every day of your faith journey.

We look forward to worshipping with you, whether in person or online, in the upcoming divine assemblies!

Blessings,

Caleb
