Service Info for Oct. 30, 2022

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the former Board and Session members at Knox Glenarm, we want to express our appreciation to the St Andrew’s Session for recognizing many of Glenarm’s special sacred items at the particular service and placing all well at the New House of God. Glenarm people have been pleased to see the little Glenarm church museum at St. Andrew’s. The descendants will continuously remember the God of Glenarm and their ancestors’ faith through it.

On behalf of the newly merged congregation, we want to thank the Southern and Hawkins families for their generous bequests to the church. With some of the contributions, we enhanced our church’s audio-visual system and dedicated it to the Lord last Sunday. That equipment will be significantly used in the modern technical world to serve God’s ministry in person or via Zoom. On behalf of the Leadership Team, we recognize the behind-scene work that Dan, Donna and Stan have put in for this installation and thank them.

On behalf of the Leadership Team, we present our gratitude to the Lord our God and pass on our gratefulness to all of you for your continued prayers and ongoing support for the New Ministry.

I have placed below the YouTube links (unlisted) to some content at the October 23 Hybrid Service of New Beginning and Dedication.

Service Info for Oct. 9, 2022

Dear Friends,

Happy Thanksgiving!

Before sharing the service info, please mark your calendar for Sunday, October 23, 2022. It is the date of a special celebration for the New Beginning and New Ministry of God’s newly amalgamated church named St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Fenelon Falls. We plan to do a couple of things in our godly assembly. Of course, both combined God’s people from Knox Glenarm and St. Andrew’s Fenelon Falls will remember God’s beautiful actions for both churches over the years. Some of the transferred sacred items from Glenarm to Fenelon Falls will be recognized. The newly enhanced audio and video system at St. Andrew’s sanctuary will be dedicated before the Lord our God in memory of the following two deceased dedicated members of our church: Tom Southern and Edna Hawkins. As Christ’s Church and followers, we will rededicate all our beings toward God and ask the Lord’s abundant blessings upon our God-given sacred ministry in our community and beyond our physical boundaries. We pray that God can help us continuously reach out to all the people who need Christ’s grace and love with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Please continue to pray for us to do this divine ministry for the glory of the Triune Lord and participate in this spiritual mission with us as a Heavenly Team in the coming days.

Service Info for Oct. 2, 2022

Dear Friends,

This Sunday in our church, we will observe World Communion Sunday. We will remember the special meal that Jesus shared with His disciples. We will also join them for this sacred fellowship with our brothers and sisters in God. Please prepare your own communion elements for those participating in the Lord’s Supper at your place via Zoom. For those who plan to partake in this holy assembly, please receive prepackaged communion items from greeting elders before you take a seat at the church.

In addition to this particular venue, we will launch a new sermon series, “40 Days of Community,” in our communion service. This message might be “counter-cultural” since we, as Canadians, love our independence. In a way, that thought would be proper. If we are independent in many ways, we will be the happiest. And yet, we still hear and see many unhappy independent individuals. According to the Bible, happiness comes from “interdependence – from the community.” Over the next six Sundays, we will explore the following question: “What on earth are WE here for.” As I stated before, for us as a newly merged church, this new study, “Better Together,” would be critical since we are moving forward into a new beginning and a new ministry as a Heavenly team.

With these notes, I invite you to join us in a hybrid worship service at St. Andrew’s Fenelon Falls on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. This divine assembly will also be broadcasted online. The Zoom link below will open at 9:45 a.m. Before the service, the announcement slides will be presented to the congregation at the sanctuary and on Zoom.

FYI 1: Hybrid Bible Study “40 Days of Community” by Rick Warren – Session Four: Growing Together – Wednesday, October 5 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew’s & Via Zoom with the same Zoom ID and Passcode used for Sunday services. Please feel free to attend whenever possible!

FYI 2: Donations to the local Salvation Army Food Bank will be collected next Sunday, October 9. All donations are greatly appreciated.

Upcoming Sunday Service Info:
October 9: Thanksgiving Sunday
October 23: Service of New Beginning and Dedication

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another” (John 13:34-35).

Blessings,

Caleb

Service Info for Sept. 25, 2022

Dear Friends,

While studying “40 Days of Community” in a recent Bible study group, I was reminded of the importance of an exceptionally long time. Six to seven weeks would be a proper duration of concreting a new plan or project in our daily lives. For the next six Sundays, we will have a new sermon series based on the current Bible study’s subject, “Better Together,” and learn the divine value of doing God’s mission with one another. For us as a newly formed merged church, these next 40 days would be critical since we are moving forward into a new beginning and a new ministry as a Heavenly team. Please pray about this spiritual adventure and participate in this sacred journey. For us as individual Christ followers, this same period would also be crucial since some of us have planned some things for our loved ones and/or them since the beginning of the fall, some may be thinking of some projects at present, and some can do this type of schedule in the following days. Whatever we do, the Triune Lord wants us to do it for the glory of God, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and by the power of Christ Jesus. Please practice what God has put into our hearts while keeping this in mind. Remember – Nothing too small or big for our Lord Almighty God to fulfill for our loved ones and each of us!

With this note, I invite you to join us in a hybrid worship service at St. Andrew’s Fenelon Falls on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. This Sunday, we will conclude by exploring the first part of the Book of Genesis regarding “Babel and the Day of Pentecost” (Genesis 11 & Acts 2). We will sing more hymns and watch two videos about the tower of Babel and the summary of Genesis chapters 1 to 11. A virtual fellowship through Zoom will take place for those interested after the service. This sacred assembly will also be broadcasted online. The Zoom link below will open at 9:45 a.m. Before the service, the announcement slides will be presented to the congregation at the sanctuary and on Zoom.

FYI 1: Hybrid Bible Study “40 Days of Community” by Rick Warren – Session Three: Belonging Together – Wednesday, September 28 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew’s & Via Zoom
FYI 2: October 2, 2022 – Communion Sunday

Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth” (Genesis 11:4).

Blessings,

Caleb
