A Warm Welcome to the Masih Family
The Akram Masih family arrived safely in Canada on June 24, 2026 as Pakistani refugees sponsored by the Presbytery of Seaway-Glengarry in partnership with Refugees 4 Refugees.
Pastor Akram Masih, his wife Ireen Perveen, and their son Jashwa John are now beginning a new chapter of life in Cornwall, Ontario, where they are being welcomed and supported by the Presbytery of Seaway-Glengarry and the congregation of St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Cornwall.
After several years of planning, praying, fundraising, paperwork, and waiting, it is a joy to celebrate their safe arrival. We give thanks for the many people whose generosity, dedication, and faithful service have made this possible.
Our sincere thanks go to the PWS&D Refugee Team, Refugees 4 Refugees, St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Cornwall, and the many volunteers from Presbytery congregations who are helping the Masih family establish a new home. Their compassion and commitment are providing this family with the opportunity to live in safety, freedom, and hope.
