Church News and Service Information for February 22nd, 2026

Dear Friends in Christ,

On behalf of the St Andrew’s Session, I want to begin by expressing our sincere appreciation for your participation and/or your prayers in support of both the Heritage Service and the Annual Meeting.

During the Heritage Service, we celebrated the rich history of our church and made a renewed commitment before God. As an amalgamated and inclusive congregation, let us pass on the legacy of our spiritual ancestors to the next generation.

At the congregational gathering, we reflected on what God has done through our church over the past twelve months under the wonderful leadership of Mark Mitchell. We also rededicated our hearts to the Lord and to our God-given mission as a unified team. Let us continue “to communicate faith, hope, and love–the three Christian virtues–by supporting and serving our congregation and the local community.”

One key item discussed during the Annual Meeting was the election of new Elders for our church using the mail-in ballot method. In the coming weeks, you will be informed of how this important discernment process will proceed. Your continued prayers and thoughtful consideration are greatly appreciated.

As a follow-up to last Sunday’s assembly, I am delighted to invite you and your loved ones to join us for our hybrid worship service at St. Andrew’s Fenelon Falls on the First Sunday of Lent, February 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

This Sunday, and in the following selected Sundays, we will launch a new sermon series titled “The Road to Recovery,” based on two key resources: the Alcoholics Anonymous Twelve Step program and Celebrate Recovery’s Eight Principles, which are rooted in Jesus’s Beatitudes from the Sermon on the Mount. As we begin this series, I want to emphasize one simple point: This study is designed for all of us, myself included, as each one of us may need a roadmap to freedom from spiritual bondage in one way or another. Your prayers on this topic will be invaluable as we embark on this year of spiritual recovery.

Please find the schedule for The Road to Recovery sermon series, along with other service details, under the church announcements below:

We look forward to worshiping with you—whether in person or online!

Blessings,

Caleb

Church News and Service Information for February 15th, 2026

Dear Friends in Christ,

I would like to remind you of our upcoming Heritage Sunday Worship service and Annual Meeting this Sunday.

During the service, we will honor the God-given legacies left to us by our spiritual ancestors at both Knox, Glenarm (Church Founding Year: 1865) and St. Andrew’s, Fenelon Falls (1863). We will hear the brief histories of both churches from two of the longest-serving members. We will reflect on sacred artifacts transferred from Glenarm to Fenelon Falls after the closing of Knox in August 2022, through a video presentation. Additionally, we will reflect on the significance of these memorial items today, based on a short sermon from Joshua 4. Finally, we will take time to rededicate our minds and hearts to God and to St. Andrew’s–our amalgamated, inclusive, and united church.

Following the service, during our Annual Gathering, we will review how God has worked in our church over the past twelve months and look forward to the God-given vision He has for us as we continue to grow together as a united, heavenly team.

With these reminders, I warmly invite you and your loved ones to join us for our hybrid worship service on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew’s, Fenelon Falls. Whether you are a member, adherent, friend, or visitor, on behalf of St. Andrew’s Session, I encourage you to attend in person or via Zoom. Your prayers and participation in both the service and the meeting will be greatly appreciated.

We look forward to seeing many of you—whether in person or online!

Blessings,

Caleb

Church News and Service Information for February 8th, 2026

Dear Friends in Christ,

For this coming Sunday, February 8, 2026: I warmly invite you and your loved ones to join us for our hybrid worship service at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew’s, Fenelon Falls. Our lay preacher, Lizz Hoyle, will be sharing the Word of God with us, preaching on the inspiring topic of God’s Angels. We appreciate her spiritual leadership and look forward to her message.

I am also writing to remind you of an upcoming special service next Sunday, February 15, 2026. The Presbyterian Church in Canada has designated this day as Heritage Sunday to mark 150 years (1875-2025) of our denomination. We are encouraged as a congregation to continue God’s ministry in our community while remembering and honoring our spiritual roots.

At St. Andrew’s, Fenelon Falls, we will take this opportunity to explore the histories of our former churches prior to the amalgamation of Knox, Glenarm and St. Andrew’s, Fenelon Falls. It will be a time to celebrate our godly legacies and make sure we pass these sacred stories on to future generations. In addition to these reflections, the service will include a short sermon and a video presentation from our October 23, 2022, service–specifically the “Acknowledgement of Items from Glenarm Church” and the “Act of Covenant” as a merged congregation.

Following the service on the 15th, we will hold our Annual Meeting. We will reflect on God’s work over the past year and look forward to what He has in store for us as a united team. Your prayers and participation in both the service and the meeting are greatly appreciated. Everyone is warmly invited to attend in person or via Zoom, whether you are a member, adherent, friend, or visitor.

We look forward to worshiping with you—whether in person or online!

Blessings,

Caleb
