Church News and Service Information for February 15th, 2026

Dear Friends in Christ,

I would like to remind you of our upcoming Heritage Sunday Worship service and Annual Meeting this Sunday.

During the service, we will honor the God-given legacies left to us by our spiritual ancestors at both Knox, Glenarm (Church Founding Year: 1865) and St. Andrew’s, Fenelon Falls (1863). We will hear the brief histories of both churches from two of the longest-serving members. We will reflect on sacred artifacts transferred from Glenarm to Fenelon Falls after the closing of Knox in August 2022, through a video presentation. Additionally, we will reflect on the significance of these memorial items today, based on a short sermon from Joshua 4. Finally, we will take time to rededicate our minds and hearts to God and to St. Andrew’s–our amalgamated, inclusive, and united church.

Following the service, during our Annual Gathering, we will review how God has worked in our church over the past twelve months and look forward to the God-given vision He has for us as we continue to grow together as a united, heavenly team.

With these reminders, I warmly invite you and your loved ones to join us for our hybrid worship service on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew’s, Fenelon Falls. Whether you are a member, adherent, friend, or visitor, on behalf of St. Andrew’s Session, I encourage you to attend in person or via Zoom. Your prayers and participation in both the service and the meeting will be greatly appreciated.

We look forward to seeing many of you—whether in person or online!

Blessings,

Caleb

Church News and Service Information for February 8th, 2026

Dear Friends in Christ,

For this coming Sunday, February 8, 2026: I warmly invite you and your loved ones to join us for our hybrid worship service at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew’s, Fenelon Falls. Our lay preacher, Lizz Hoyle, will be sharing the Word of God with us, preaching on the inspiring topic of God’s Angels. We appreciate her spiritual leadership and look forward to her message.

I am also writing to remind you of an upcoming special service next Sunday, February 15, 2026. The Presbyterian Church in Canada has designated this day as Heritage Sunday to mark 150 years (1875-2025) of our denomination. We are encouraged as a congregation to continue God’s ministry in our community while remembering and honoring our spiritual roots.

At St. Andrew’s, Fenelon Falls, we will take this opportunity to explore the histories of our former churches prior to the amalgamation of Knox, Glenarm and St. Andrew’s, Fenelon Falls. It will be a time to celebrate our godly legacies and make sure we pass these sacred stories on to future generations. In addition to these reflections, the service will include a short sermon and a video presentation from our October 23, 2022, service–specifically the “Acknowledgement of Items from Glenarm Church” and the “Act of Covenant” as a merged congregation.

Following the service on the 15th, we will hold our Annual Meeting. We will reflect on God’s work over the past year and look forward to what He has in store for us as a united team. Your prayers and participation in both the service and the meeting are greatly appreciated. Everyone is warmly invited to attend in person or via Zoom, whether you are a member, adherent, friend, or visitor.

We look forward to worshiping with you—whether in person or online!

Blessings,

Caleb

Church News and Service Information for January 18th, 2026

Dear Friends in Christ,

I would like to begin with a few notes regarding our upcoming worship services.

Please mark Sunday, February 15, on your calendar for our Annual Meeting, and keep this important gathering in your prayers. This will be a time for us, as a church, to look back on the past year, give thanks to God for His presence, provision, and protection over both individual followers of Christ and His church, review the various reports (written and oral), and rededicate our whole being to God’s Kingdom ministry in unity as one heavenly team.

On that same Sunday, we will also celebrate our shared spiritual heritage as Glenarm and Fenelon Falls Churches. During the worship service, we will learn about each church’s brief history, along with a short sermon. A video clip recorded from the October 23, 2022, presentation will be shown, featuring the Acknowledgement of Items from Glenarm and the Act of Covenant. This video highlights Glenarm’s artifacts and reminds us of our new beginning as a joint congregation that has been working together for the past three and a half years. I believe these reflections will help us look back on those earlier times and move forward into the months ahead, in conjunction with the Annual Meeting. Your prayers and participation—either in person or via Zoom—are greatly appreciated.

I warmly invite you and your loved ones to join us for our hybrid worship service at St. Andrew’s, Fenelon Falls, on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. On this Sunday, we will begin a new sermon series titled “The Prayer of Jabez” , which will be shared over the next three Sundays. In the first message of the series, we will reflect on the importance of God’s blessing through the prayer’s opening petition: “Bless me”.

We look forward to worshiping with you—whether in person or online—during this upcoming divine assembly.

Blessings,

Caleb

Church News and Service Information for December 24th, 2025-Christmas Eve

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the St. Andrew’s Session, I extend Merry Christmas and happy holiday wishes to you and your loved ones. As we approach this sacred time, we are invited to celebrate the birth of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. Although it is His birthday, Jesus offers us the extraordinary gift of Himself. During this season–especially, at the Christmas Eve service–we are encouraged to reflect on our Heavenly Father’s greatest present–His one and only Son, Jesus–for each of us, and to receive this gift gratefully.

On behalf of the St. Andrew’s Session, I would also like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to all our church members and friends. Your continued faithful support and fervent prayers for God’s ministry within our faith community and beyond have been precious this year and always. We deeply appreciate your contributions to the Lord’s work–whether seen or behind the scenes, recognized or unnoticed, great or small.

We believe that Jesus, our Immanuel, has delighted in us as a church family working together to fulfill our mission: “To communicate faith, hope, and love by supporting and serving our congregation and the local community.” The Lord has also been pleased with our commitment to “welcome everyone to our church who seeks to love God and participate in an open and supportive congregation grounded in the teachings of Jesus Christ.”

With this spirit of Christmas gratitude and our church’s shared calling, I warmly invite you and your loved ones to our Christmas Eve Communion and Candlelight Service on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. We also look forward to our first Sunday worship after Christmas on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Both services will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Fenelon Falls, and will also be available via Zoom.

Please note that Christmas Eve offerings will be designated to The Salvation Army Food Bank unless otherwise specified. For those joining us online for the Christmas Eve service, we kindly ask that you prepare elements for communion (something to eat and drink) if you wish to participate.

Important Update: Starting this Sunday and continuing through the winter, our worship space will move from the sanctuary to the basement. Zoom participation will be available as usual.

Finally, as we observe this holy season, let us once again remember the words of God’s angel: “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger” (Luke 2:10-12). I pray that this Good News of great joy will be upon you and your loved ones anew–not only at Christmas, but every day of your faith journey.

We look forward to worshipping with you, whether in person or online, in the upcoming divine assemblies!

Blessings,

Caleb

Church News and Service Information for December 21st, 2025

Dear Friends,

I would like to begin by reflecting on the Women of the Church and their Christmas potluck lunch held this past Wednesday. I was grateful to attend this gathering alongside two other gentlemen to enjoy a delicious meal and socialize in our church basement.

Following our time of fellowship, some of us shared Christmas cards and small gifts. We especially gave thanks to God for those who donated personal care items to the Salvation Army. We also enjoyed the activity of making small Christmas decorations with pine boughs for our homes. We look forward to showing some photos of this joyful time during the service this Sunday.

With that joyful note, I am delighted to invite you and your friends to our upcoming hybrid worship service on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Fenelon Falls, and via Zoom.

This Sunday, we continue our exploration of the first Christmas carols, with a special focus on the Song of the Angels–the Gloria.

We look forward to worshipping with you, whether in person or online!

Blessings,

Church News and Service Information for December 14th, 2025

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the Congregation, I would like to take this opportunity to extend our sincere thanks to all the speakers who have shared the Word of God, and to all the volunteers who have supported our divine assemblies in various ways during my vacation and study leave. How often do we find 7 or 8 lay preachers, along with many readers and prayer leaders, in a congregation? Like you, I am incredibly proud of the outstanding lay leadership within our faith community.

I would also like to extend our deep appreciation to Glen and Yvonne Abernethy for sharing their musical talents on our church’s behalf at the Community Carol Sing Event last Sunday. Their inspiring performance helped us lift our voices in praise of the Child of God and reminded us of the greatest gift of all–the Baby Jesus–given to us during this Advent season.

With that said, I am delighted to invite you and your friends to our upcoming hybrid worship service on December 14, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Fenelon Falls, and via Zoom.

This Sunday, we will continue our exploration of the first Christmas carols, with a special focus on Mary’s song–the Magnificat. During the service, we will not only sing traditional Christmas carols but also enjoy special recordings of the Christmas music performed by Glen and Yvonne Abernethy  at the community event mentioned earlier.

We look forward to worshipping with you, whether in person or via Zoom!

Blessings,

Caleb
